Exerion was the first real video game that I saw. Somewhere between 1988 and 1990 there was an arcade open in the central Railroad Box-office in then Leningrad, now St.Petersburg. That game used to gobble on hours of my free time. After school I went there, and was just watching - for I did not have any money on me - older guys playing the game, breaking high-scores, etc. Sometimes someone had put too many coins, and had to leave before spending all of them. Then I had a chance to put my hands on the controls, it was a fight, since there were many of us - broke younglings eager for videogames that were yet a rarity in Soviet Union.
Since the opening of Youtube I was looking for that game, having forgotten its name I hoped that someone uploads it under something like "the best 80s scroll-shooter" or something similar.
And alas here it is:
